Between 1994 and 1996, Zolt\u00e1n attended the Hungarian Army School (Budapest) in the class of Jozsef Nagy. He then moved to Poland in 1996 as his mother began working for the Hungarian Embassy in Warsaw. Zolt\u00e1n focused on developing his own technique and unique style during these early years, inspired by lead trumpeters such as Bill Chase and Maynard Ferguson. He also studied in the class of Henryk Ma\u0142ecki until 2001.<\/p>\n

In 1999, Zolt\u00e1n won the National Young Musicians Competition and a scholarship under the Polish Ministry of Culture and Heritage. He won the Polish National Trombone Competition (Junior category) in 2000 and again in 2003 (Senior category).<\/p>\n

Zolt\u00e1n studied in Katowice between 2002 and 2004 before returning to Warsaw. There he attended the Chopin University of Music, graduating in 2007.<\/p>\n

His Warsaw Brass Trio (WB3), comprising of school friends Henryk Kowalewicz (horn) and Lubomir Jarosz (trumpet), received third prize in the 2003 International Contemporary Chamber Music Competition in Krakow. The trio were also awarded first prize in the 2005 Polish National Chamber Music Competition (brass category).<\/p>\n

Zolt\u00e1n was invited to audition for the Austrian brass septet Mnozil Brass in 2005, for which he now tours the world performing in over 100 concerts per year with the band as well as a soloist and with his other projects.<\/p>\n

He has released five albums to date including Slideshow (2010), Rebeli\u00f3n (2011), Non-Stop (2014), Overture live (2020) and Zoltan speaks.<\/p>\n

Between 2014-2020, Zolt\u00e1n was an International Trombone Tutor for the The Philip Jones Centre for Brass (Royal Northern College of Music) in Manchester, United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

2017-2020 was a board member of the International Trombone Association.<\/p>\n

Zolt\u00e1n plays exclusively on his signature trombones, Kissbone and KissboneX, designed in collaboration with Austrian maker, Schagerl.<\/p>\n

His self-designed \u2018Zolt\u00e1n Kiss\u2019 edition mouthpiece is produced by Latsch Custom Brass in Germany.<\/p>\n
